This Indianapolis newborn session had all the moments you want to capture when you welcome a new family member.
There is something extra special about photographing a family during the newborn stage. It is a season full of quiet moments, soft snuggles, and so much love. That is exactly what made the Johnson family’s session so meaningful.

As they shared, they wanted to capture this moment because “he is our last baby, and it is such a precious and fleeting season.” And they are so right. These early days pass quickly, but they are filled with memories that last forever.
Spending time with this beautiful family of five was such a joy. Their story is full of faith, laughter, and a deep love for each other.
A Family Built on Faith, Love, and Fun
When the Johnson family was asked to describe their family in just three words, their answer said it all: “Faith, Love & Fun.”
One thing that touched my heart was their hope for the future. They shared:
“I hope my children remember that, despite the challenges we have faced, they are unconditionally loved and that their voices mattered.”
That kind of love is powerful. And you can truly feel it when you watch them together.
Adelynn, the Helpful Big Sister, plays such a special role in the family.
Her parents shared that they love how she is “more independent and a huge help with her brothers.” During the session, it was easy to see how much she cares about them.
She is thoughtful and creative and loves trying new things. They also described her as “artistic” and someone who is growing into a responsible young lady.
One of the sweetest moments was watching her hold baby Isaiah so gently. She already has such a nurturing heart.
Justice, the Joyful Jokester, brings so much energy and laughter to the family.
His parents described him as “a joyful, happy, and funny little boy.” And that could not be more true.
They shared that he “tells silly jokes and loves his family so much.” During our session, he kept everyone smiling. His playful spirit made the whole experience even more fun.
And then there is little Isaiah.
At just two months old, he is in that dreamy newborn stage full of tiny stretches and sleepy snuggles. His parents shared how much they are loving this time:
“I love Isaiah’s newborn stage and all the baby snuggles. I love how curious he is during tummy and playmate time as well as his emerging smiles.”
Those little smiles are the best, and Isaiah gave us a few during the session.
They also said something that truly touched my heart: “He is the perfect completion to our family of 5.” What a beautiful way to describe him.
Simple Moments That Matter Most
Like many families, some of the Johnson family’s favorite moments are the simple ones.
They love having family movie nights together and going for walks when the weather is nice. These small traditions often become the memories kids hold onto the most.
They also shared a few favorites they enjoy together, including watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Elf” during Christmastime. Those cozy traditions make the holiday season even more meaningful.
