Wildflower family session

Oh, the beautiful wildflowers! You can go wrong when you shoot with them as part of your location. So many colors and all the lush green that come with an August family photo shoot in Indiana. The Loprete family was so sweet and had a perfect night for their session. These kids also brought the energy. Having young kids who have no plans of sitting still for long to “look at the camera” is not a problem. We keep things moving, play games, and have lots of fun! As your Westfield, Indiana, family photographer, I accept the challenge of capturing amazing photos of your always-moving children. Some nights are so dreamy, and I have to say, this is one of them for sure. The weather wasn’t terribly hot, the light was perfect, and of course the flowers were showing off big time. We did some walking, lots of running to get the wiggles out, and some tickle fights too. That’s always a good way to get those genuine smiles and laughs. Choosing a location is always fun. There are so many great places around here to shoot family sessions, but MacGregor Park is one of my absolute favorites. It’s a smaller park, so there is not a lot of walking. This location also has a parking lot right next to where we will shoot. That is especially nice for extended family sessions where grandparents might not be able to walk a far distance.

We ended with some snuggles, and everyone was still smiling in the end. It’s painless when you make it fun, and that’s my goal with every session, and I LOVE it when parents tell me kids are excited for the next session with Miss Jill.
