Families Who Come Back Again and Again

Watching families grow

One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is getting to witness so many milestones, celebrations, and meaningful moments in the lives of the families I photograph. It’s such an incredible privilege to be invited into those chapters, whether it’s a newborn session, a first birthday, a senior portrait, or a yearly family photo where everyone’s just a little taller (and maybe a little sillier) than the year before.

There’s something so special about watching families grow and change over time.

I get to see little ones go from shy toddlers clinging to Mom’s leg to confident kids running the show. I see parents relax a little more each year, realizing that the best photos often come when everyone’s just being themselves. And I get to capture those fleeting moments that become lifelong memories: missing teeth, birthdays, new pets, or grandparents joining in for the first time.

Photography, for me, is about more than just pictures. It’s about connection and storytelling, documenting the genuine, real everyday love that makes each family unique. Every session is a reminder of how quickly time passes and how beautiful it is to pause and celebrate where you are right now.

To all the families who come back year after year: The biggest thank you for letting me grow alongside you. It’s the greatest honor to help tell your story, one season at a time.
