a little of this and a little of that

Robinson Family in Zionsville Indiana

We had some scheduling difficulties before we made this session happen but in the end it was so great. Downtown Zionsville is super quaint with so many lovely little spots that make a wonderful backdrop for any session. We were in a few block radius and thats all we needed to have variety and stay close to our cars since it was cold.

When the first shot of the night looks like this, I get excited.

Nicole did so great with outfits for her famly. Lots of texture and layers. Coordinating but not matching and paying attentiong to shoes. Solid colors are always a good choice. If one person wears a pattern to add interest make sure to keep the pattern simple. It was cold during our session so the layers kept everyone warm-ish when I was snapping. Of course we put coats on in-between spots or if the whole family wasn’t in the picture.

To make sure you get the best photos possible I work with you on clothing selection. Talking about the things listed above and texting pictures back and forth while I give feedback and help make sure it’s the best it can be for your session. Paying attention to the little details will make your pictures that much better and timeless.

I am a sucker for a good brick wall.

When you book a family session you will come away will a full gallery of photos to look through and choose your favorites to download. All my sessions have a flow pattern to make sure we get all the family poses, individual portraits of each kiddo and Mom and Dad too. There is usually kissing involved with the last one. The session flow also helps keep things moving and is the most efficient with our time.

The Robinson Family were naturals in front of the camera and we had a lot of fun. Love shooting beautiful family’s love and connection. This last shot was one of the sweetest. He wanted to picture of just him and his Mama and then he gave her a kiss on the cheek and said, “Dad, I’m stealing your girl.” Oh my heart!
